Shaving Soap Samples
Sometimes it's hard to commit to a full 4oz tub without knowing what you're getting yourself in to. That's where our 1/2 oz samples come in! Give them a try so thst you can figure out what you like.
Valedictorian:
Valedictorian was designed to be sophisticated, warm, and wearable scent that can be worn to the most important and classy of affairs. Scent notes include tobacco, vanilla, vetiver, ginger, orange zest, smoke, rosewood, mahogany, black pepper, and water lily. Tobacco is the star here, while the other notes pitch in to create a wonderful all around scent.
Rope Swing:
The goal with this scent was to further explore the idea of plunging into cold water in an exotic location. We initially went to a tropical pool side with Cannonball! With Rope Swing, we are headed to a pristine mountain lake. The scent notes on this one are dandelion, water, moss, galbanum, juniper, ozone, patchouli, and cedar. The scent opens with a rush of green before settling down into a beautiful mix of dandelion and woodsy elements. The aquatic notes are not featured here but instead play a supporting role. Rope Swing will also feature the synthetic cooling ingredient WS-23. The result is a cooling sensation that will set in after a minute or 2 and last for long after your shave. If combined with the aftershave, the cooling sensation may last for 30 minutes + for some people.
Cannonball!:
Cannonball! Is your chance to experience a tropical day at the pool from the comfort of your own bathroom. Not only will this soap leave you smelling great, but it will cool you off and give you the sensation of relaxing in a pool on a hot day. I spent many summers as a kid at the swimming pool nearly every day. I loved it so much that I worked as a lifeguard for many summers when I was younger. The smell of a pool is something that will always brings back memories for me. Knowing that not everyone would probably want to smell like a pool all day, I decided to introduce some tropical fruits into this scent. The result is an initial burst of of Pineapple and Orange, but the sweetness is quickly cut by the scents of Water, Ozone, and Chlorine, creating a unique and complex scent that is truly perfect for summer. I’ve used a synthetic alternative to menthol in this soap. The result is a cooling sensation that will set in after a minute or 2 and last for long after your shave. If combined with the aftershave, the cooling sensation may last for 30 minutes + for some people.
Woodshop:
Woodshop has been in development for a very long time. I really wanted this scent to go beyond just smelling like wood. I explored several different directions over the last few years, and am super happy with where I ended up. The scent opens with coffee and bourbon, because let's be honest, if your working with teenagers and power tools you probably need a lot of both (bourbon after hours of course). Then comes the woody notes, cedar, pine, and the scent of a fresh sheet of plywood. Hiding in the background imperceptible unless you know it's there is the scent of motor oil from the always nearby auto shop. The result is a very nice wearable woodsy scent with a surprising amount of depth.
Daydream:
Where do you go when your mind starts to wander, when you should be paying attention, but just can't bring yourself to? Daydream is meant to help you get to that place. This scent opens with a burst of passion fruit supported by lemon, bergamot, and a touch of green grass. Oakmoss and green tea then quickly step in to blunt the sweet and citrus before it rests firmly on a base of cedar.
Trouble Maker:
Lavender has long been an obsession of mine. Trouble Maker is the resulted of my continued experimentation of lavender in scents. Trouble Maker is absolutely lavender forward; however, this time it us supported by notes including smoke, rosewood, patchouli, leather, and soil. The result is a beautifully dark, smokey, and earthy lavender scent that is wearable year round.
